NATCHEZ — A local business is looking to recover a lost bank bag full of money.

The bag was lost after someone associated with the business placed two bags on top of a vehicle and forgot to get them before driving off, Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said.

The bags fell off the vehicle in the Liberty Road area, and one passerby picked up a bag and returned it, Godbold said.

While picking up that bag, which contained approximately $1,000, the citizen saw three men in a single cab white Ford pickup truck pick up the other bag.

"The other truck didn't bother to turn the bag in," Godbold said.

Anyone with information about the missing bank bag should contact Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000.
