Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management is getting a new dean.

It's the current dean of the undergraduate college and vice dean of the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Northwestern says Sally Blount will take up her new post at the Evanston-based school in July. She succeeds Sunil Chopra, who's served as Kellogg's interim dean since last September.

Northwestern Provost Daniel Linzer says the 48-year-old Blount has a solid record as a scholar and as a leader in global business education.

Blount received her Ph.D. in management and organizations from Kellogg in 1992. She joined Stern's management department in 2001. And in 2004, she became dean of Stern's Undergraduate College.
